Edit: I shot a 108 and then the other 2 guys shot 104 and then my buddy shot a 95.

Those guys shouldn't even be playing there.
Actual good golfers who play from the tips wouldn't tell you to join them, they'd understand each person playing the appropriate tees.
The little bit of extra time of having multiple tee boxes is easily compensated by the saved pace of play in playing your appropriate distance.
