Ah, I see. Yeah I don't buy into it with Wolf, and the fact that Conroy is now doing the contracts. I think Wolf will be along for the ride provided he is paid appropriately for what he brings. The only way I see Wolf on his way out of Calgary in the next 3-6 years is if Conroy sees value in team building in having Wolf for a shorter term at $7-8.5mil AAV over having him here long term at $9.5 - $11mil AAV, and Conroy seems way smarter than that.
I wouldn't trust Trelviing to make the right decision there, but I see Conroy understanding the value in paying a top 5, potential league leading goalie over 7-8 years, as the foundation of this build.
