There are so many tips and methods for achieving largely the same thing that it seems to be about what clicks for your brain... the thing for me was imagining that the ball is sitting on a $20 bill and trying to hit that bill out of the bunker rather than the ball. Not that that's intended as advice for malcolm14k, who I'm sure is better than me, it's just my method.
That being said I now use one of the many available wide-sole wedges (Callaway Sure-Out) and it's borderline cheating. But the trade-off there is a bit less distance control, so it's more of a solution for those of us who are always satisfied with a "ball on green somewhere" result and getting it close is a windfall.
