Vancouver media also used the Tkachuk deal as the comparable for a Hughes trade with the caveat that Hughes is the better player, so the return would need to be better. They're thinking a top 6 forward like Huberdeau, a top 4 defenceman like Weegar, a 1st, and a better prospect than Schwindt.
If I'm the Devils, I just wait until Hughes is available for free though.
