There are only 16-18 games per season in the CFL and NFL for a reason. There is no possible way for these players to play even 40 games a season. Football is much more demanding than hockey. After a football game, everyone is injured. Football is much more complicated than hockey as well. Days are spent disecting opposing teams offence and defence. Looking for tendencies and looking at things you can exploit. Every team is different and you need to prepare properly for this. Football is much too complicated to play the game the next night. You can't compare it to hockey at all.
