Probably good to have preorders locked in with the increases in prices for gaming hardware that happening now. Consoles used to go down in prices but now we are seeing 10-15% increases at the end of life cycle instead. With Xbox jacking stuff up, kinda expect the rest will do the same on hardware and games.
Wouldn't be surprised if Switch prices go up after the initial release and before the holidays.
