I would not want Hischier if I was the Canucks would not fit the right age and I think that if the Devils want to advance in the playoffs they would need Hischier.
If I was the Canucks I would make the following moves.
Trade with Devils
Out : Hughes
In : Silayev, Nemec, Mercer, 2026 first round pick, 2025 second round pick
Trade with Sabres
Out : Petersson
In : Byram, Rosen, Pinto
Trade with Jackets
Out : Demko
In : Sillinger
Then hire David Carle as head coach and do a quick turnaround in players and culture. Completely flush this last year down.
