It is tough when people point fingers at the federal government for provincial issues, like housing. Now that housing was made a federal issue, all of the parties have their plans and will try to roll them out but how much do you want to bet that Alberta will try to fight against the new federal housing plan?
Smith will say things like "give us the money and we'll do what we want with it" and then pocket the money and build zero houses so they can blame the feds for the failure. Wasn't just a couple of years ago when the feds tried to work directly with the cities to build affordable housing in Calgary and Edmonton and Smith stepped in to block it?
