If they are referring to oil and gas, there are tons of people in this city and province that have made great money, and continue to make great money, in that industry. The industry can be volatile, but life has been incredibly good to those people overall - regardless of federal government.
Some people really need to step away from their monitors, go outside, and enjoy life. We have it REALLY ####ing sweet here in Canada. Other people would give their lives to have the lifestyle that we enjoy here as Canadians - government included.

Well said. In my demographic (30-40, young kids) people mostly complain about education, daycare & healthcare. Most of them then turn around and vote UPC & CPC because of stupid #### like capital gains taxes and WEF BS. I know I posted this before but the brain rot of social media politics is an absolute blight on our society. Like buddy, the two best things that have happened to you politically in the last decade are the transmountain pipeline getting bought and completed, and daycare being subsidized. The worst 2 things that have happened to you are the 35+ kid classrooms and the deregulating of electricity/insurance.
So many anecdotes of people in my circle who vote against their own interest. While all doing like you said, living in 2000+ sq ft suburban homes with 2 nice vehicles and yearly family vacations. Lost decade alright.
