Go short term with Frost and see if he improves. If he doesn't, he's likely nor long for the Flames. If he does, it will cost you more.
I guess the question for Conroy is how certain is he that he will be a viable player. If he's pretty certain, he'll go longer term.

Frost had very good numbers in Philly last year vs elite competition. Farabee also had good numbers last year, but they chances say he was a bit lucky last year. This year Farabee was as good as anyone against elite competition.
I view Frost and Farabee as our future Backlund and Coleman. If we can wrap up Frost for a bit more than Backlund makes, we should sign him as long as we can.
