Carneys platform is relatively what a lot of the socially progressive fiscally / economy focused conservatives are looking for . The issue a lot have is whether the Liberals will actually move this direction post election under Carney or revert to what they have show they historically have been when governing

The question they need to ask themselves is, would they lose more votes to the PPC or another like-minded party than they would potentially gain from getting votes from the Libs.
There are a lot -
a lot - of people who vote Liberal not because they particularly want to, but because they feel it's the best way to keep the far-right out of government. They don't see the current iteration of the CPC has something they can ever vote for, no matter how bad the Liberals get.
