Trudeau wasn't popular so they bumped him out, airdropped a bureaucrat who is not a politician (a good thing, for some reason) and all of a sudden the whole country loves him? All because of Trump threats (that don't go away with Carney or Pierre tbh). Liberal leadership is softball and appeared rather scripted from the beginning.

And perhaps I'm not as scared of Pierre Poilievre, I don't only see the ads I see interviews/conversations and he doesn't come across as the boogey man or second coming of Trump. I do recall him holding people accountable, go all the way back to the We Scandal which gave Bill Morneau the boot.

Mark Carney, on the other hand scares me just a little bit. I read (listened) to his book 'Values' from 2021 and some parts feel dystopian to me on how he views a better future and how we get there. But that's simply my point of view.

And yes there are slogans, political parties/campaigns like or not are a brand, what brand operates without a slogan? They all have them, some reasons the Conservatives get called out for it.

What I foresee today, Liberal Minority, with a record breaking popular vote for the Conservatives. That will highlight how polarized this country is, if anything it also shows how similar to the Americans we are getting (one party right / one party left with a wide gap in the middle). Multi-party opposition becoming obsolete.

Believe you me though, I have very little hope for either of them. Whomever has the burden of running this country through the next couple of years is going to have a rough go at it with dismal approval ratings.
Citation desperately needed.
