I genuinely don’t because there’s a lot I’m not interested in that happens in a thread that I just scroll past. Case in point: the circular fights between the same 5 posters over literally nothing. I find them all entertaining posters, but when they do the spider-man thing and go on a 20 post “you’re a homer!” or whatever thing I just scroll past.

I’m just playing devil’s advocate here over why politics is the line. Hell, there was more than politics that was off topic in this conversation. And it’s not like I’m dying on the hill of politics because I brought it up (I didn’t mention politics at all). It’s just like… what are people getting upset at? That someone went on a diatribe over a hillbilly joke? That someone mentioned the Liberal party? They’re literally talking politics in the E=NG thread right now. I’d rather read a page of people being bitchy every once in a while than 4 pages of people arguing over the definition of a rebuild again.

“So, any trade rumours?” is basically a meme in this thread for how often it goes into the weeds on something off topic, but in the many years we’ve all been here, I think we can agree that even when things get a little wacky they always find their way back as soon as something on-topic that’s worth a discussion is brought up.
