That is a really solid looking D group. The problem is that I do not think Andersson waives to go there.

The other layer to this is the Dahlin-Bryan combo has been solid.
I think it is more likely the Sabres move one of their young talented wingers. They have a glut. Quinn, Peterka, Benson, Ostlund. I could see the Flames having interest in Byram but I don’t think they have the pieces Buffalo might want.
I’m having a hard time seeing a fit here honestly and it’s likely why the Flames and Sabres weren’t able to work out a cozens trade. For Buffalo, there’s too much risk with Andersson, and I’d be a bit surprised he would waive to go there.
