I don't think anybody has any illusions of the Flames sending Parekh back to junior. Unless he blows all of the tires in training camp, you can lock him into a roster spot.

Teams let kids go to the WJC when they’re playing 3rd/4th line minutes and minimal 2nd unit PP time.
By the time the tournament starts, Zayne Parekh is going to be two months into running Calgary’s PP1.
He’s not going anywhere.
