That's not coming from Bedard at all. It really just speculation that he shouldn't sign a long term contract because of the rising cap, not because of Bedard's dissatisfaction.
Chicago remains in a very good place because of their plethora of young players, their premium prospects, their ton of coming draft picks, their cap situation, and their destination.
They made big strides at the end of the year.
It will take a few years to be sure, but it should eventually come.
But if Bedard was on the market, it would take a tion to get him.
And it would start with some premium assets.
But he's not on the market anyway.
