IMO a Calgary offer than makes San Jose think looks more like
Zary, Andersson, 2025 first (NJ), 2026 1st (higher of Vegas/Calgary), D prospect
It would hurt. That might not even be enough (from Grier's pov). But San Jose would be thinking they want to accelerate things in the short term and try to build toward a winning culture sooner than later, and Calgary would pony up because they believe Misa is the type of elite talent that you can throw into the mix with Parekh/Wolf (and their myriad of young wingers and D) to be able to grow a real contender as they all mature together over the next 3-5 years.
Would be cool just for the ballsiness of it all despite the unlikelihood.
