"I'm fitted I'm fitted!" Congratulations, man! You can also be fitted into a 3 wood, or a driving iron, or a mini driver, or a second driver with a different purpose.

I wasn't trying to offend you and your swing speed... no, I didn't make the generalization that "most golfers would be better going to 12". That would be, as you say, quite stupid, because everyone is different. What I said was that a 12 degree driver makes more sense to me than a 12 degree mini driver for the specific purpose of having second club to hit off the tee, for what I would guess is a significant majority of golfers. Of course, the significant majority of golfers are also probably not best served by using a slot in their bag for a second club to hit exclusively off the tee, but again, everyone is different.

Your swing speed and angle of attack do not dictate that you must exclusively play a particular driver with a particular loft. Those factors dictate that if you play the driver you're currently fitted into, you will get X range of results, which may have Y range of drawbacks - i.e., more distance, more dispersion. You could have just as easily been fitted into a driver with less distance and less dispersion if that was your goal or the goal of the person fitting you.

Also, a driver doesn't necessarily have a longer shaft than a mini driver. That is why I said you need to get the right shaft for your swing and for the purpose you are using the club for.
