Heh... I use to think the same, but my number was $1,000-1,500. Then I noted some really cool features in $4-5K watches that I'm like... that's something I'd kinda want. The Bel Canto is one of those examples.
For instance, that sound on the Bel Canto is sorta enchanting, but for me, I'd want to buy a ST Dupont lighter just for that perfect iconic "ping" sound instead.

Pure shot in the dark, I'd guess A. Lange & Sohne. Something that can completely fly under the radar for those not in the know. But for those who have an idea, it's an absolute badass. It's also not one of the super popular top brands/flashy brands that I assume Sliver might have bumped into the name in some way or other in his original research (ie: AP)
