Of course I know that.
But players in those important roles (#2D, #1W, #2C x 2) are vital pieces of championship teams and do not grow on trees. Typically they are drafted top ten in drafts themselves. Even with our strong draft history, there are no guarantees that we would have a single one of those positions in our system excluding Parekh. Even a high-quality prospect like Henry Mews, may be a decade away from having the complete game needed to be a legit cup calibre #2D for all we know. Even Zary hasn't proven to be a lock to function as a Backlund replacement and he's been the most impactful natural center we've drafted in the last decade.
