I am hoping for a severe recession or depression in the states for all the Trump stupidity. I just wish there was a way that Canada wouldn't get caught up in it.
I had to deal with American Customs Brokers a little while ago. They were extremely serious, almost paranoid, in their warnings about CBP, which I've never experienced before. I actually felt bad for the poor guys. If they didn't live in a small border town with probably the few decent jobs around, you know they'd probably quit.
I also saw an email from DHL that they're temporarily suspending Canadian business to American consumer (B2C) deliveries over $800. CBP is requiring those shipments to have formal entry processing which is a lot more complicated and time consuming.
