Regarding goal differential, I posted this on March 8. Updated with last months games in parenthesis.
Flames have and continue to win tight games. They have lost several by wide margins. There's the goal differential.
Flames Wins by 3 goals = 9 (10)
Flames Wins by 4 goals = 0 (0)
Flames Wins by 5+ goals = 0 (0)
Flames Losses by 3 goals = 8 (9)
Flames Losses by 4 goals = 3 (4)
Flames Losses by 5 goals = 2 (2)
The goal differential in wins/losses by 3 goals is +3. The goal differential for wins/losses by 4 goals is -16. The goal differential in wins/losses by 5 goals is - 10.
So in 6 games they got blown out, the goal differential is -26. The remaining 73 games they have a positive goal differential.
