You expect them to just give alternate Kim credit for everything Kim Prime did? No, he's gotta start from the bottom just like everyone else. So that right there knocks at least 2 years off his promotion timeline.

You can just imagine some Admiral going through Janeway's log when they got back:

"Captain's Log, Stardate...who knows? Kim was being a dick again about not getting promoted! Like I'm going to promote some pseudo-human freak!

To this end he has been assigned Airlock mopping duty and we're all praying for an unexpected airlock malfunction...here is hoping. I see that flashing button on my Captain's chair and must admit that the temptation to hit it is often unbearably overwhelming. Kim will never know how thinly I allow him to cling on to his miserable existence.

He doesn't know it but we all watch him mopping on the main viewer while that accursed button to vent the airlock just blinks at me maddeningly. We've thought of starting a pool. B'Elanna thought of booby-trapping one of the floor panels to automatically vent the airlock when he mops over it but Paris thought that would be cheating and Chakotay thinks the entire ordeal to be barbaric.

But screw that guy. In a civilized quadrant he's a War Criminal anyways and either way he's just no fun. His Spirit Animal has weighed in and thinks its hilarious. He's even in the pool.

Tuvok couldn't care less. Vent him, dont vent him, Tuvok DGAF either way. Accursed Vulcans.

And if the replicator gives me tea when I order coffee one more time, just one more goddamned time, I'm going to pour it out over Kim's head. God I hate that guy. I even asked Seven to assimilate him one time and she straight up refused saying that he was 'unworthy of the collective.' Even the damned Borg wont take him!

I keep giving him more and more dangerous missions but its like the guy is indestructible! Its the strangest mixture of incompetent but unkillable. The only conceivable proposition where I'd even consider promoting him is so that I can send him on away missions in a Red shirt.

Neelix even tried poisoning him but the poison is indistinguishable from Neelix's regular cooking and we've all apparently become immune to most toxins.

I've even promoted people who range from completely useless bastards to straight up criminals just to stick it to Kim but he just keeps going along. He's like a goddamned goldfish! I want to stick him in a torpedo and shoot him at the Kazon! They'd probably just send him back. Plus that may or may not be considered a War Crime.
