Maybe I have just missed it.

I don't think Tkachuk ever liked Sutter and just didn't like talking about him at all. I watched just about every presser that season and he never gave Sutter any credit or even mentioned him by name when asked by media about Sutter's role in the team's turnaround that season. He seemed annoyed whenever he was asked about Sutter and he would always deflect by saying nothing really changed from the year before or something similar.
I also remember Tkachuk doing an interview and was asked if Sutter had called him after the trade. He didn't bite and said that he was going to keep that to himself. Definitely wasn't a lot of love there.
It could just be that they are two very different people and their personalities didn't mix, or maybe he never really got over how Sutter cut his ice-time when he started coaching the Flames again during the COVID year - I remember how pouty he seemed at garbage bag day that year.
I don't think it would have mattered who the coach was though, Tkachuk wanted out and was going to leave regardless of who the coach was.
