To be fair the most likely scenario is that the Flames don't make the playoffs, as they are considered long shots at this point. Parekh gets some valuable, but somewhat limited, pro experience, and then continues on his previous development path.

I think you're putting way too much emphasis on Perekh and his ability to influence whether or not the Flames get into the playoffs.
