Without looking, I would assume Makar got a practice in before jumping into the playoffs. Even if he didn't, he was a little older, and even more importantly, Makar was playing a more mature game in the NCAA.



Why not give Parekh a practice or two first? You don't want him going out there, making a terrible play because he isn't used to the speed/systems/teammates, getting scored on because of it and the Flames losing the game. I would imagine the players would be upset at Huska over that too.



Get him some reps in practice. Have him sit upstairs next to someone who can explain some of the plays and where Parekh should be. Then stick him in on the third pair and adjust as his play dictates. I really don't understand the impatience here. I mean, I can't wait to see Parekh (and Suniev - and some others!) out there to wind-down the season, but I also think there is a time and a place for it. Would just feel like rushing a kid for no reason.
