Yeah, Makar played the two previous seasons against men and was 15 months older than Parekh when he got pulled into the playoffs.
He was also put into the lineup to replace Girard (the day after U-Mass was eliminated), and he probably wouldn't have gotten in that quickly without a player like that coming out.
And he had MacKinnon to play with who basically overwhelmed the Flames in that series on his own... giving the rookie a lot of space.
I'm on board with getting Parekh in the lineup, because he might provide a spark that might push them into the playoffs, but we need to temper expectations a little bit and not expect him to get first pairing minutes.
