Looking at Canada's energy policy, it's safe to say that the last 10 years poor policy has resulted in us being where we are now. We have let untold tens of billions in revenue, investment, taxes and more flow out of Canada for what reason?

On your first point, the price shock for energy was because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It had almost nothing to do with poor energy policy. And yes, there as inflation coming out of Covid and the pandemic supports. Again, a one-time event, and I’m firmly of the belief that either party was going to be in that position. It cut across economies globally, and policy or political positions were basically irrelevant.
On the second point, the Canadian energy policy has gotten us to where we are now. Which is record oil production. I’m sure that’s what you’re referring to, right? Or is this some talking point about how the evil Laurentian Elite wants to shutdown oil and make Alberta a have-not province?
