Several reasons:
1. Sharangovich's injury really set him back
2. The team has made a commitment to him for another 5 years, so it's in the team's best interest to get the best Legor it can.
3. Sharky is a streaky player, and his confidence and mindset plays a huge role. In the offseason, he himself commented about having a different mindset when he was relied on to score vs playing in the bottom 6.
Flames fans have seen Yegor struggling this year, but they've also seen him as a 30 goalscorer, a shootout specialist, a source of short-handed offence, as well as a constant threat on breakaways and the PP. We have yet to see that level of play out of Farabee. All we've seen so far out of Farabee is an average 3rd line winger that's good in transition, goes to the net, and is a bit snake bitten.
