The thing everyone likes to forget is that development is not always linear. There is not always progression and improvement from year to year. A lot of Flames made some strides this year but that doesn't meant it will be the same next year. A lot of young Sharks look really impressive but maybe there is slumps or regression or whatever.
Joe Juneau had 193 points in his first 161 games, and never scored more than 64. There are countless examples out there.
