My example SVEN F ing Baertche. Anyone remember that ? If youve been a fan long enough and remember and believed thr hype WOW that was a spectacular display of dumb.
So yeah. Suniev will get his day . Sunny doesnt need to be thrown immediately into fire .
It would be like the Canadian army being sent to battle with thier plastic knives and forks.
The culture of this team, its management, coaching is changing for the better and the jump to NHL and thr example of even Matt Coronato needing time is perfect.
- skating at this level hell be exposed, rocked even, because thr playoffs have basically already started.
- maybe adrenaline gets him by for 2 or 3 games but mistakes end up in our net right now and that's not good.
Let him watch. If he sits with Iginla Conny and Gelinas hell learn some things he woulsnt normally get to hesr and learn .
Get Danielle Fujita on the ice with him immediately because if he ends up like Coronato we win big time . ....those 2 are id say a huge part of thr future of goals assists and wins ....but just not righf now.
If only we could just insert our prospects immediately...sign me up.
Fellas ....thia team is slowly taking shape right in front of our eyes and one day well see payoff finally.
Go Flames Go....

Playing Suniev for 3-5 games isn't going to damage him or any other prospect in any way. Especially ones that are physically ready like Suniev, Parekh etc.
The Flames have realized under Conroy that giving your young players a sniff actually HELPS with development as the player can see where they are lacking and get a taste of what they need to do. I'd rather have these young guys go into camp next fall with a bit more knowledge of the pace, physicality and day to day requirements than simply running them through practice out some dated ideal that they will falter if they aren't babied.
Guys that are banged up like Backlund, Pospisil, Kadri and Weegar shouldn't be ridden down the meaningless stretch just because a young player hasn't paid his dues. Whatever that means.
