Nah. Marner doesn't fit the bill or the timing where the Flames would want to go after a UFA. We need a natural C, not a winger.
Also, if the team is hoping to trade out Andersson and try to sink for a high draft pick next season then this summer is again the wrong timing to bring in a high profile UFA that will team up with Kadri and Huberdeau to prevent the tank.
If the team successfully tanks then see how many vets want off of the ride and look to the 2026 UFA class. Perhaps Eichel walks to UFA and you can throw that Marner money at him instead.
