I'm sure you guys know, a loss tonight and Ducks are eliminated from Playoff contention. It's April 3rd, hung in there longer than expected. But to live for another day would be nice.

Calgary will be desperate to win to keep their hopes alive. But they're tracking strongly to be out of the playoffs.

Before the season I wanted us to finish ahead of them. I think they have performed better than expected this year, but still I'd really want to win them tonight.

Boy it'd be nice to beat the brakes off these guys.

So many dirty flames in the lineup... it would be nice to have an enforcer who could actually play... like Olivier who is a younger version of Deslauiers. Lets just hope we don't get any injuries.

This feels really intense for a first period.

Flames look like the Avs. How are they not in a playoff spot? Watched them a few games ago and they were also firing on all cylinders.

It does not matter where the opposing forward is, he can be coming from the moon and Vatrano will manage to be caught on the wrong side when they enter the offensive zone.

It is impossible for a power play to be this consistently bad. How does Clune still have a job?

This team gives up high danger chances so often. I’m amazed because the coaches supposedly concentrate on defense.

Why do the Ducks suck at defense?????

Calgary more than anyone else exploits this team. They get a lead, sit back in the 1-3-1 trap with 5 below the puck behind the neutral zone and dig in. Ducks can't do anything against it.

I know it's been popular to criticize Gudas lately, but he has been ####ing terrible tonight.

Greg Cronin said simply: “I don’t think his performance has wavered.” when asked about gudas' play wavering from last season.

Clune has to be one of the biggest swings and misses on a coaching hire in a long time. Good for him getting an NHL job based on 5 months of work in the AHL. Marlies PP% has only dropped 1.3% since Clune left, and that's despite the Marlies losing one of their top goalscorers. So he's certainly not some sort of wonder worker.

Gudas has been pretty bad the last few games. Injury perhaps or just run down...otherwise next year could be rough with him.

Yep, but our coach is too dumb to realise that playing Gudas nearly 20 minutes a game is a stupid decision when he's never played that much per game on average at any point in his entire career.

We're doing him no favours treating him as a #1 RHD when he's played his best hockey as a 2nd and 3rd pairing guy.

Strome had a stroke for a sec as he threw a pass into the middle of the ice through three flames in our defensive zone. Came away unscathed.

I hope when the Ducks start to reach that full threshold of playoff contention they don’t shirk away from the pressure like they are now. If this is what a do or die game looks like for this team… yikes. They gotta lock in for the future

officially getting eliminated from playoff contention and it because we lost to the goddamn flames. for whatever reason, this team just doesn't show up in important games.

Also, one more thing. I HATE the accountability this coaching staff has on its players. Why is it for Gudas to be complete #### night in and night out, but the second a younger player makes a mistake they sit a whole period lmao. ####ing ridiculous. Holding vets accountable teaches the kids a better lesson imo.

Games like this are what pisses me off. We've had a great run and shouldn't be too upset to make it this far, but I wish we would've lost more like the Toronto game. Another game where I get major flashbacks to choking the 3-2 series leads when we'd get kicked in the nuts early and never really seem to be in it after.
