Every GM in the league trades Parekh for Bedard. He came out of the draft being hailed as the next Crosby/McDavid. He is still young and is producing points at a high level with next to no help on the roster.
Parekh has not played an NHL game yet. We are hoping the skill translates to the NHL. But by no means is he a lock to be a top pairing dman, much less comparing him to Makar.
He could end up being an elite player or he could struggle in the NHL. We do not know yet.
