Those were some weird times. As much as the oilers kicked arse we somehow created some gems. Must have been the wild west of scouting back then. Never gretzkys or kurri's or coffey's but some decent stuff. Brett Hull was an afterthought until he wasn't. Was it that we just paid scouts or something?
