I apologize, now I see my error in trying to understand your point
In fact, I’ve heard that he was leaning towards moving Kadri and Andersson, but it was both or neither because only moving one would literally be committing to neither the playoffs nor bottoming out. I’m not sure I agree with that but once Kadri blocked things, it made it easier to pivot to moving Andersson in the summer

Andersson wasn’t shopped they received some interest but never went any further.
Trading Kadri makes the team worse. I don’t think trading Andersson has much impact honestly and the return likely would have been good based on his contract.
When he says the prices were high we should have looked at what we could get Teams sent a record number of 1st round picks out.
This team is and always will be short sighted looking at 1 year instead of building for sustained success. That’s the Edwards way.
