In fact, I’ve heard that he was leaning towards moving Kadri and Andersson, but it was both or neither because only moving one would literally be committing to neither the playoffs nor bottoming out. I’m not sure I agree with that but once Kadri blocked things, it made it easier to pivot to moving Andersson in the summer

I could have been clearer in my thoughts too, no worries.
The issue with moving Andersson this summer is that the markets were absolutely sizzling for players on good contracts with limited term at the deadline (Laughton returned a first and a prospect, Andersson should have significantly more value than that). I have serious doubts that holding onto Andersson for a few months of, what ended up being meaningless hockey, was worth passing on that hot trade deadline.
