Another case of Barry being Barry
Another reason to dislike Bonds..........

Bonds wanted to be in the All-Star Game to bask in adulation from his team’s fans. But rather than giving fans what they really want, Bonds has settled for the bare minimum, which is all his selfish heart can spare. He says the contest would tire his 42-year-old body.
“It’s not that you don’t want to, it’s that you just can’t anymore,” Bonds told those reporters. “You can’t. It’s too long. Too much waiting. Too much sitting around. You can’t do that.”
Bonds makes it sound like the Home Run Derby is nothing more than a glorified batting practice.
No one is asking him to win it. He should just give the fans of San Francisco, and baseball for that matter, a “thank you,” by participating in the contest.
History says that the stubborn Bonds will not budge, which comes as no surprise since Barry does what Barry wants.
