Barf. And here I thought with the A-10 Thunderbolt II (Warthog)'s retirement and the F-35 being named the Lightning (evoking the P-38), that maybe the F-47 was a nod to the P-47 Thunderbolt... Maybe once DJT is gone the USAF can retcon the F-47 naming if we reach a point where the world can scrub the walls of ketchup and orange stink.
