I hope these clowns experience one of the biggest, most lop-sided election losses in Canadian history, snatching defeat from the jaws of certain victory just two months ago. Optimistically, I'd like to think this would be a wake-up call to the CPC leadership and their grassroots members to become a more viable and moderate alternative to the Liberal Party, but because they're all a bunch of True Believers(tm), their takeaway from such a defeat would be that they need to go even more hard right next time.

Yeah, I don't necessarily agree with your perspective here, but its all semantics at this point.
Regardless, Carney has done a kicks ass job at repositioning his party, and 'refreshed' it in a 2-weeks span. The CPC had 3+ years to do the same, and barely were able to make a dint. Bad job by them.
