There were irregularities in Ohio for sure. But Kerry lost the popular vote,and I rather doubt that vote-rigging across the nation could account for 3 million votes. Ohio was kind of a cluster-you-know-what, but in my view part of the problem there was probably incompetence rather than malfeasance.
With that said, that article is an interesting read--it describes widespread problems that I had never even heard about. What astonishes me is that the U.S has no independent body to run elections, which I would have thought would be a vital component of any democracy.
