I'm not sure that is all that great a strategy, anyway. The morons who have railed against the WEF for so long are heavily associated with convoyers and Trumpers and right wing insanity. The ads will just look more like that, and turn rational voters off. Sure, those ads may solidify their Alberta muppets, but I think they may do more harm than good in the rest of the country. This is the corner Pierre has painted himself into.
Perhaps a very well crafted ad could get the point across without the connection, but so far the CPC media team hasn't really shown themselves capable of the necessary nuance. It's just gonna be more ranty blathering that convinces voters Carney has the competency and experience needed at this point.
