I hear you on that. It is a consideration for sure.
Already know I will not be buying from Cabelas regardless of price differences between them and Canadian Tire or local shops.

Okay, cool. Reliability and ease of use are big considerations for me having never done this before, although they all seem fairly easy to use.
Are there outdoor spots close by you can just drive to and shoot at targets?
Also going to get a Ruger 10/22. Those seem super fun.
