To me it comes down to where you lean.
Last year he had less appearances and was 62nd in GSAA (league's worst backup).
This year more starts, and positive momentum in his second half.
If the hip surgery played a role then you're moving on from a guy on the cusp of moving into an above average backup / below average starter role.
If it's a 10 game blip, no loss.
