Its not laughable to suggest that our leaders don't let their private interests dictate their decision making in the public field especially given how corporate greed has created so many issues (Brookfield is one such company).
What is actually laughable is how people are so willing to just give a guy a pass because of previous accomplishments when he is on their team. Sounds a lot like what is happening in the US right now.
The icing on the cake is the whataboutism that comes around.
Also, in case its not serious enough, Carney is trying to present himself as an outsider, with all this experience in both worlds. And then he goes and builds a cabinet full of the same morons who spent the last year bringing Canada to the point where our GDP growth is pretty terrible. And yet we're just supposed to say this time will be different? Laughable is not even the right word to explain that. Sad is more like it. Sad that even people like yourself can't understand why people would have an issue with Carney's actions.
So far he's basically the same turd that his predecessor was, with the same turd like policies.
