I think ownership is overblown in Calgary. They have no issues spending. I actually think that it is more a GM issue. They seem to start with a plan and divert from it. I think that is partly because the Owners allow them to spend. Conroy is the first GM that was taken a measured and patient approach. They weren't going to say it publicly, but they totally planned on being a team that would be in the top 10.
Take away even 3 of Wolf's wins (We know there are a lot more) and they are in the mix easily for the top 10. Realistically they probably should have 10 to 15 less points and that would put them around Buffalo and Nashville.
I think Wolf is the real deal and they need to build out from him. Parehk will be a hell of an add next year. The team has amassed a lot of young talent and that is before the multiple 1st they still have in the next couple drafts.
