To me it just feels like you are missing the point. Is standing up to a threatening and powerful nation not the absolute top priority in this election for you?
Conservatives in this country have aligned themselves with Trump since 2016, both at provincial and national levels. Now they won't even fully distance themselves from him for fear of upsetting their base. Trump stabbed Ukraine in the back and is literally clamoring for Putin to be invited back into the G7... Meanwhile Carney invited Zelenskyy himself to attend. Doesn't that tell you enough about who this country needs in power?
