That was a great and memorizing Cena heel promo, something that he's never done before and got him out and the audience out of their comfort zone.

They could have gone another way, that Cena sold his soul to the Rock for one more title win to beat Flair.

Instead they used the last 25 years. I've talked about bad guy promos before and Mick Foley's break down of them, and the biggest thing was that the villain believes he's in the right, that what he's doing is the right thing.

Cena did that tonight, and it was brilliant, he used the last 25 years of fans cheering and booing him. Lets be honest, for most fans the booing was fun, they didn't hate him deep down, it was entertaining and cool to hate Cena. And he used that on full blast tonight. you got a sense of him catering to the fans for the last 25 years, working his ass off like no other to gain their respect and love and never quite getting it, was eating him like a cancer, like a big all of puss and bile and black blood that kept growing in him. But he just worked harder and he felt he never got what he wanted out of the relationship, and in his heel turn that disgusting ball of hate material finally blew out like a volcano.

There was nothing funny about Cena tonight, and even the lighting with his shaded eyes was so completely well done. And the fact that not only did he go after the fans that "hated him", but also the fans in the audience that had supported him and even pointing out kids and condemning them as partners in a abusive relationship was so very good. Even Cody's part where he basically said that the fans boo'd him because they knew he was resiliant was great.

I also like how Cena tied his retirement into the whole thing.

They really took every thing about Cena and turned it upside right up to Cena pointing that one kid out and basically saying he was the worst of them all.

The crowd reaction to it was amazing, and Cena knew just how to use it and control it.

It took 25 years for Cena to turn heel, and it makes sense, and he fully messaged that.
