In fairness to Conroy, the team way looking pretty good heading into Dallas and the TDL to be in a position to make the playoffs. Selling off your vets at that point might send a bad message to the young guys and the players that actually want to be here. I think the counterpoint is that the plan should be the plan regardless.
Flames are an easy out for any team that faces them in the playoffs. So why change the plan for that when that top ten pick could land tou a bonafide difference maker?
