I used to live in Nanaimo (now THAT place is depressing in the winter...especially when I was 23 and single), and Vancouver, I'm actually one of those weirdos who loves the rain. It could rain almost every day (as long as it's not summer) and I'm good, that weather just chills me out, I find it peaceful and refreshing.

But I agree if you're not wired for it, it's a bit much. Yeah it really gets socked in, in Vancouver, and that damp cold just chills you to your bones. At least you can layer up here, with that Alberta dry cold.
